Third grade winning team
Winners of the third grade bee were members of the “Common Bombus” team from the Hanlon School: Elyse Boger, Claire Kenneally, Emma Kenneally, and Duanmu Jiang. Emily Parks, Superintendent of Westwood Public Schools, moderated the third grade bee. The winning word was “bungalow”.
Fourth grade winning team
Winners of the fourth grade bee, from the Sheehan School, were the “ADIDAS – All Day I Dream About Spelling,” with team members Liam Williams, Ryan Williams, Harrison Hayes, and Nolan Cahill. Sean Bevan, Principal of Westwood High School, moderated the bee. The winning word was “interesting”.
Fifth grade winning team
Fifth grade bee winners were “Green Machine” with team members Colin Greally, Joseph Caparro, and Rocco Warrington from the Sheehan School. Allison Borchers, Assistant Superintendent of Westwood Public Schools, moderated the fifth grade bee. The winning word was “pueblo.”
The Foundation for Westwood Education is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to support high quality education in our schools and enhance learning for Westwood residents of all ages. Funds raised at the Spelling Bee are returned to the community in the form of educational grants.
