Who We Are
The Westwood Educational Foundation, Inc., d/b/a the Foundation for Westwood Education, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 1991 to support high quality educational and cultural programming in our public schools and community organizations. We partner with residents and local businesses to raise funds and return those funds to the community in the form of educational grants. See our Grants page for more information about the recent grants funded by the Foundation.
Board Members
The Foundation is run entirely by a board of volunteer members, who come from a cross section of schools and community groups in Westwood. These volunteers raise money and award grants that benefit our community. Founded 30 years ago, the Foundation continues a tradition of enriching the Westwood community.
Foundation Impact
Since 1991, the Foundation has awarded more than $1,000,000 in support of high quality educational programming for our public schools and community organizations. Our grants have enabled countless Westwood students and adults to benefit from enriching educational and cultural programs that might not otherwise have been available. These programs support both the excellence of our schools and the quality of life in our community.
The Foundation has funded a variety of programs in the areas of math, science & engineering, visual & performing arts, parent education, culture & social studies, literacy, technology, and professional development.
